Whenever possible, treatment plans and cost estimates are discussed before any procedure is started. However, if the pet requires immediate attention, the necessary first aid will be provided to stabilize the animal, and the owner will then be consulted about the next steps and associated costs.
Payment is required at the time of service. External financing may be available.
Some patients require hospitalization. As a 24-hour hospital, we offer continuous monitoring.
Medical records, list of medications, recent history, and a fresh stool sample if requested.
Yes. We treat birds, reptiles, pocket pets, and some farm animals.
At VETS PR, we can treat stray animals without any problem if they need evaluation or medical attention. However, we are not a shelter, so we cannot take them in to stay here. If a person decides to rescue the animal, that person assumes responsibility for it, including medical decisions and associated costs. We also recommend contacting local shelters or Animal Control for housing options.
