Born and raised in Bayamon, PR, Dr. Angel Ramos Torres showed from an early age an interest that later became his passion; health, wellness and compassionate medicine for animals. He attended the University of Vermont and later graduated from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (PennVet) in May 2012.

After graduating, he gained valuable experience during nearly two years of work at Ebensburg Animal Hospital in the state of Pennsylvania. For several years he gained guidance from mentors, which led him to create his private practice 10 years ago. Jayuya Veterinary Services, in the town of Jayuya; being the first veterinarian to establish a clinic in that town.

Dr. Ramos is passionate about his profession with specific interests in radiology, surgery, critical care and emergency care. 

He is always at the forefront and in contact with colleagues and specialists in Puerto Rico and the United States. In addition, he is affiliated with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Colegio de Médicos Veterinarios de PR (CMVPR) and the Cooperativa de Médicos Veterinarios de PR (COOVET).

Beyond loving his profession, his family is very important; his wife and children, as well as his parents and sister. He also enjoys spending time with his doggy children, Olivia and Lucas. He is passionate about agriculture and music. As a musician he excels at playing percussion instruments, such as drums and timbales.
